This was the first weekend in a while that we didn't have to go anywhere and it was just us at home so we took full advantage of it and got a lot of work done! On Saturday Scott finished our storage building and we got most of Jayci's room cleaned out but unfortunately it all ended up in the family room instead of the storage building as it started to rain when we got ready to take stuff outside. We still have a bit of stuff to clear out of her room but it is getting there. Scott also went to a friend of his to pick figs and made some homemade strawberry-fig perserves...I don't care for them but just about everyone else that tries them loves them! On Sunday we got back in the nursery and went through a filing cabinet that had a lot of old paperwork in it and it was amazing what we found. We ended up spending a lot of time going through this as what we found was some of Molly's old school work, Scott's old school work, cards from various people (including Nanny) and letters Scott's nephew sent while he was in training camp for the army. It was funny and sad to go through alot of this stuff as it brought back a lot of memories. By going through all of this stuff it made the room look worse then when we started but we will be back in there this week to finish. Sunday afternoon Scott took me out to lunch and a movie! We went to see the new Batman movie and it was AWESOME and for anyone that hasn't seen it yet you need to go. Well this week we are extremely busy and we can't wait to see many of you this weekend!!
Love to everyone.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLY!!

Glitter Graphics at GlitterGeek.com
This past Tuesday (July 15th) was Molly's 15th birthday! I can't believe she is now 15 and guess what....she got her learners license! Molly was telling us that her Mom took her to the parking lot at her high school to let her get behind the wheel for the first time and it sounds like she did a good job. She did say that she made her Mom (as well as herself) a little nervous but like her Mom said it was her first time and she didn't expect her to jump behind the wheel and drive like a pro. I am still waiting for that moment when we are out somewhere and she asks me if she can drive....I don't know if I am ready for that...giggle. Anyway Scott and I are both so proud of her. On Saturday we had a little party at Mom's house with cake, ice cream and presents and had a lot of fun. She got a couple of new games for the Wii so Molly, Scott and Cheryl played while I watched. Then on Sunday we went to Dave and Busters and met Molly's boyfriend for a day of great fun! We got there when they first opened so played games for an hour or so before we went to eat lunch and then we went and played some more. When we went to turn all of our tickets in we ended up with about 7600!! Usually we split up the tickets between Molly, me and Cheryl but none of us could decide on what to use them on so we decided to put all of the tickets together and we got a game for the Wii which was Zelda. We had a wonderful time getting to know Hunter a little better and hope we can do it again soon.

A Wonderful 4th of July!
For the 4th of July we had a lot of family, food and fun! Several members of the Lummus family were able to attend and for those that couldn't we really missed you guys! Danny, Belinda, David, Lisa, Seth, Ricky, Connie, Billy, Lillian, Mom, Dad & Cheryl all made the trip from Georgia to Alabama and only one got lost getting to my house...I didn't think that was too bad...lol. There were also many members of Scott's family that were able to make it (his Mom, Brittany, Diane, Kreig, Leroy, Janette, Misty, Misty's husband and 5 week old daughter & Tommy) so we had a full house! Scott got busy on Thursday smoking the boston butts for his barbecue and also getting things around the house ready so he was very busy. On Friday Scott got up early to put the ribs on and he loved using his new smoker. Once everyone arrived it was time to eat and there was a lot of good food and very few leftovers so needless to say I don't think anyone went home hungry. After lunch a lot of people got in the pool to cool off or went to play horseshoes and it was wonderful seeing everyone have a good time. Scott and I can't tell you how much it meant to have many from both sides of our family at our house to share in this celebration of the 4th and hope that we can do it again soon.
Early Saturday morning Scott, Dad and Ricky met Jim at the golf course and played a round while the ladies stayed at the house and just relaxed by playing the Wii and also swimming a little.
Sunday was kind of a day to unwind so we didn't do much but it was a good end to a great weekend. This weekend Scott has to finish our storage building and then we can begin to fill it up with stuff!
I have uploaded some of the pics from the 4th below and also the link below will take you to all of the pictures that Molly took since she was our photographer..giggle.
