Many things to be thankful for.

It seems like my posts are getting further and further apart and I am sorry but here we go. I will catch up on what has been going on in a minute but let me first start of by saying I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. This was my families first Thanksgiving without the center of our family and that is my grandmother. This was our first holiday without her and her presence was definitely missed but her presence was also definitely felt. On this particular holiday we are to pause and reflect on the things that we are grateful for and here is just a short list of the things I am grateful for; I am so grateful for having a grandmother like Nanny and I know that she will always be there with me and each of us. I am also grateful for the family that we have near and far and for Lillian opening up her home for all of us to get together. I was also extremely grateful for those of us that were able to get together and this year included Molly and she said that she had a great time.

Now for what has been going on in the last couple of weeks: As we all know Auburn lost to Georgia (we will get them next year) and we watched it with Dad and Cheryl and had a good time. The Friday after Thanksgiving Cheryl and I did our annual tradition of getting out with all the other nuts early (and I mean early as it was 2:30am) and headed to Waffle House for breakfast. After we ate we went to our first store which was Kohl's and found a couple of things. Our next stop was Target and we stood in line for 1 1/2 hours before the store opened but once it did everyone in line took off running for what they were looking for. I have to say we did really good in Target and then headed to all the other stores we were interested in. I can't way what we bought just yet but in a few weeks I will!! Once we got back to Mom's it wasn't long before we had to head back home as we had a football game on Saturday. Saturday morning we got up early and headed to Auburn hoping that our spot that Scott marked off on Wednesday would still be there..which it was! We got to our tailgating spot at 9:30 in the morning and froze our tails off but had a great time cooking out and hanging out together. If you don't know we beat Alabama for the 6th year in a row and we were there to see it....WAR EAGLE!

Sunday morning we went out to get our Christmas tree and came back to the house to decorate it. The tree is a good bit smaller then we normally get but it is still beautiful.

Well that catches things up for now!
